On the border of Královo Pole and Ponava
lies a highly frequented transport hub.
It is an acoustic and ecological burden of the whole
localities. The main purpose of the construction is to identify
problems, focus on them and their existence
contribute to their elimination. The building is trying to enrich
the condition of its surroundings on the outside as well as on the inside. It is set in an inhospitable environment
a footbridge allowing the surrounding inhabitants to overcome
almost half a kilometer barrier. Noise around the road
reaches more than 80 dB (limit 60 dB).
The shape of the building orients the noise back to the road. Facade consist of panels with electro-active rods
elements. Sound waves are in the form of mechanical
energy able to vibrate light parts of the building.
Using the Piezoelectric effect, it is collected
energy converted into accumulated electricity
at the central collection point. Energy is possible
return to the surroundings. The construction is controlled by a script, who is looking for the busiest places for
your growth. In places, the greatest concentration of people creates larger spaces, in places of least tension
places windows.
